My Resolutions for 2013
I haven't been blogging consistently but I plan to use this blog to report back on my progress towards the items on this list.
1) This list can really be summarized by my motivation in my life - Work towards living more sustainably (hence the name of my blog!) I already do a lot of these but working on adding more: 75 ways to live more sustainably
2) Lose enough weight to put me in normal BMI category by doing the following things:
A) Run in a 5k each season (I hate running but I will do enough to keep my heart in shape)
B) Pure Barre 3x a week (Pure Barre) This workout is perfect for working on core muscles
C) 75% vegan diet (Happy Herbivore, Post Punk Kitchen)
D) Cut back on alcohol (maybe I can only drink what I make?)
E) Use CalorieKing to do food diary Calorie King Website
F) Walk more. Bike to work consistently.
3) Work on debt.
A) Refinance mortgage (we close this month!)
B) Meet with DH monthly to discuss budget – find a program we both like and can use
4) Get Julia’s bedroom painted and decorated (Polka Dots and Rosebuds, Interior Design)
5) Expand our chicken flock and start egg selling business in neighborhood.
6) Plant Fruit Trees in yard. Expand garden. Can more of garden produce.
7) Do more freezer cooking using these books:
A) Not Your Mother’s Make Ahead and Freeze Cookbook Amazon
B) Make Ahead Meals Made Healthy Amazon
8) Finish Practicum for my MPH
9) Vacation in D.C. with kids, visit cousins
10) Read these books (What More Magazine Editors are Reading)
11) Use digital camera regularly – save pictures, explore Shutterfly, etc.
12) Use video camera regularly – learn to edit videos
13) Continue to work on sourdough, fermenting skills and follow blogs like GNOWFGLINS (GNOWFGLINS - Raise, save, and prep God's natural, organic, whole foods, grown locally, in season)
14) Continue to work on de-cluttering house using the Clutter Diet (The Clutter Diet - Organize Online with the Pros)
15) Paint/Decorate Master bedroom
16) Read through the bible using this plan: Read the Bible in a Year - 5 Reading Plans in 50 Translations
17) Continue community building at church Word of Hope Lutheran Church
18) Make homemade toothpaste, mouthwash, and soap
19) Camp and hike this summer, explore Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana
20) Buy only makeup and beauty products that are cruelty free: Cruelty-Free Lists
